Welcome to Esjeholmen,
This homely holiday cottage is located near the sea on the small farm of Esjeholmen in Værangfjorden in Rødøy municipality, Northern Norway. Esjeholmen is just north of the Arctic Circle and is a lovely holiday location to experience grand coastal nature. The nearby fjords are inviting locations for exciting sea fishing for sport fishing. There are a number of good spots for fishing on the open sea and close to a number of islands.
A Hansvik 17 foot boat with 25 hp Suzuki motor and a Otaplast 500 with a 30 hp Suzuki motor can be rented separatly.
From the house terrace you can enjoy a panoramic view of the sea and you can breathe in the fresh sea air, listen to the waves lapping the shore and listen to the calls of the sea gulls. When the midnight sun is shining in the light spring and summer nights this holiday cottage is a haven of peace and tranquility.
The cottage comprises a spaceious kitchen with electric cooker, c+h water, fridge/freezer, micro wave oven, freezer 250 l. or more, cooker hood, dish washer, washing machine, coffee maker, waffle iron, vacuum cleaner and breakfast table.
A big spaceious living room with seating area with sea view, dining area and a log fire. Bathroom with WC, wash basin, c+h water, bath tub, handheld shower and: Terrace, Electric heating, electric light, garden grill, garden 100 m2, mixed furnishing, view over water, Fishermen's shack.
The whole family can enjoy walks in this beautiful coastal landscape. In the east you find the vast wilderness with Svartisen Glacier, the second larges glacier in Norway.
You can make daytrips with the high-speed coastal boat service to the surrounding island communities. Here you can find the islands of Rødøy, Lovunden with its poputlation of Puffins and Træna with its special mountain formation far out to sea are all great experiences.
